Swimmers are divided into age groups for both practice and competition based on their age as of May 31.
Practice times may be subject to change due to inclement weather.
Ages 6-8:
Ability to swim - Freestyle 25-50 yards, Backstroke 25-50 yards, Breaststroke 25 yards, and Butterfly 25 yards. Diving and flip turn experience – completing all levels of swim lessons is strongly encouraged, but not required. (One length of pool = 25 yards)
Ages 9-18:
Ability to swim - Freestyle 50-100 yards, Backstroke 50 yards, Breaststroke 50 yards, and Butterfly 25-50 yards. Knowledge of diving and flip turns. (One length of pool = 25 yards)
Team swimsuits are not required, but are popular with the swimmers. If you would like to receive your order prior to the first dual meet, it is important that you register early and pick up the swim team parent packet. Swim caps and a team t-shirt will be provided to all swimmers at no additional cost.
The swim team cannot operate without the help of parent volunteers. Parents of swimmers are required to volunteer at a minimum of three meets during the season (2 dual meets and the conference championship meet). Volunteer sign up information will be available at the parent meeting and online throughout the season.
